In March 2024, we did a world-first.
The Volume at Stray Vista Studios is the same technology that they filmed The Mandalorian on. It uses Unreal Engine 5 to render entire worlds and then maps your position in front of them to give the impression of you actually being in that real environment. It’s primarily used as a background extension to add to a scene and is becoming a common replacement for green screen on shoots with higher budgets.
We recorded a 5 camera podcast using this technology. This has never been done before.
We had custom scenes built by the incredible team at Stray Vista to compliment the guests and topics Host Chris Williamson had planned. These are all interactive scenes that have moving objects and phenomenal detail.
